Started by Ali Eastburn in 2007 With This Ring is a non-profit organization that promotes radical giving in Jesus name. With This Ring was born when Ali and a friend donated their wedding rings to help dig a well in Africa. Since that time many people have donated wedding rings and other types of jewelry as well as money, cars, watches and other things to this cause. With This Ring has been able to dig eight wells in Africa with many more on the way.
Before The Well “left the building” Neil Cole was one of the simple church leaders who came and spent time with us. His counsel, books and conferences have been instrumental in our journey.
Tony and Felicity Dale have been friends of The Well since we transitioned out of the building and into homes. Each year since 2004 The Well has sent representatives to the annual House 2 House conference. Leaders from The Well have had the privilege of speaking at workshops and general sessions at House 2 House. The conference has become a resource for training, networking and encouragement.
The Well is working with the Evangelical Friends Church Southwest office to plant new churches. The denomination has commissioned the Southwest office to start 40 simple churches in the next five years. The Well leadership is part of a team creating tools for assessing, training, and supporting new church planters for southern California.
